Reflections from the Wilderness: Why I Head North Every Year
Every summer, without fail, I spend at least a week in the Boundary Waters. My history with the BWCA and Quetico goes back to the early ‘80s, which is when I first fell in love with the silence and the scale of the North Woods. Since then, it has become a true family tradition.

I voted Republican most of my life. January 6th changed that. Now I'm running as the DFL candidate in 31A—against Harry Niska, the House Majority Leader who's more focused on managing a caucus than representing Ramsey and Andover. Strange origin story. Right moment for it.
Patriotisim
Nowadays, the party has become more important than the people for our politicians. It’s time to change that. Government should be boring, productive, and add value to its citizens.
